What is WordPress customization?
With custom WordPress, something is built specifically for your website that is not available off-the-shelf. This can be small, such as an extra field in the ordering process, or large, such as an integration that automatically forwards orders to your supplier.
Standard or custom: what is the difference?
- Standard: An existing theme with existing plugins. Fast and affordable, but you adapt to what the plugin can do.
- Customization: The feature is built around your workflow. It costs more, but you don't pay for features you don't use, and you are not dependent on a plug-in that might stop working tomorrow.
In practice, it is almost always a combination: a solid foundation of WordPress and Elementor, with custom work where it makes a difference.
