Google Tag Manager specialist

First a measurement plan
We determine together what you want to know before anything is configured.

Tested with evidence
We verify every measurement on computer and phone, with and without permission.

Yours, not ours
Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics are registered in your name. You are the administrator.
Do you know what your website yields?

Many entrepreneurs advertise without seeing which click turns into an inquiry. We had a client come in who spent advertising budget every month, while on the website nothing was measured. There was no way at all to see what that money yielded.
Without proper measurement, you are acting on intuition. Moreover, Google Ads and Meta learn from the inquiries and orders they receive. If they receive no information, they spend your budget less effectively. As Google Tag Manager specialists, we ensure that the correct data is received, with your visitor's permission.
Our process in four steps
01

Measurement plan
We record what constitutes a result for you: a request, a phone call, a WhatsApp message, or an order.
02

To arrange
We build the tags, triggers, and variables in Google Tag Manager and connect Google Analytics 4 and your advertising platforms.
03

Tests
We review every scenario in the network traffic: before the cookie choice, after refusal, and after consent.
04

Deliver
You get access to everything, with an explanation of where to find the figures and what they mean.
What we set up for you
Not every website needs everything. In the measurement plan, we choose what makes sense for you. These are the components we set up most often:
- Google Tag Manager: one place for all your measurement codes, neatly named and documented.
- Google Analytics 4: with the events that matter to you, such as a submitted form, a click on your phone number, or an order.
- Consent Mode v2 and a cookie banner: in your own house style, with a real choice for the visitor.
- Meta pixel: for advertisements on Facebook and Instagram, only active after consent.
- Conversions for Google Ads: so that Google sees which clicks generate a request.
- Microsoft Clarity: recordings and heatmaps that show you where visitors drop off.
- Webshops: purchases and revenue in Google Analytics, also on Shopify.
Examples from our practice
A webshop for personal care products. Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and Search Console have been set up, with a cookie banner in the store's branding. The site is bilingual, so the banner is available in Dutch and English.
A studio that was already advertising. Advertising budget was spent without anything being measured. After setup, we performed live checks to ensure that no cookies are set before the cookie choice and that measurement starts after consent.
A webshop on Shopify. Purchases from the checkout now appear as revenue in Google Analytics 4. The Shopify cookie banner is linked to Google's Consent Mode.
Two websites with a strict request. The owner wanted no request to go to Google at all before consent. We built our own cookie banner where Google Tag Manager only loads after agreement.
NB: A tracking code on your website does not necessarily measure anything. If a tag loads at the wrong time, no error message appears, but nothing is received either. That is why we test every measurement in the network traffic and do not rely on a green check mark.
Want to know more about the concepts?
In our knowledge base we explain concepts such as UTM code, remarketing and server-side tagging out in plain language.
Measuring with a cookie banner that is accurate
For analytical and marketing cookies, you require your visitor's consent. We place a cookie banner in your own branding and link it to Google's Consent Mode v2. If a visitor refuses, no cookies are set.
After every change, we re-check the banner: readability, keyboard operation, clickable areas on the phone, and whether the choice is actually being transmitted.
Do you want to know if your measurements are correct?
- A measurement plan in advance.
- Cookie banner in your corporate style.
- Tested on computer and phone.
- Accounts in your own name.
First a conversation, then a proposal
Completely without obligation and without risk.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a Google Tag Manager specialist do?
A Google Tag Manager specialist sets up your website's metrics. This includes Google Analytics 4, Google Ads conversions, the Meta Pixel, and the cookie banner. Everything runs through one central location, Google Tag Manager, so that no changes need to be made to your website's code for a new metric.
Do I need Google Tag Manager if I already have Google Analytics?
Google Analytics shows what happens on your website. Google Tag Manager determines what is measured and when. Without Google Tag Manager, you usually only measure page visits. With Google Tag Manager, you also measure submitted forms, clicks on your phone number, and orders.
Is a cookie banner mandatory?
As soon as your website places analytical cookies containing personal data or marketing cookies, you require the visitor's consent. You arrange this with a cookie banner. A banner that merely states that cookies are present, without offering a real choice, does not comply.
What is Consent Mode v2?
Consent Mode v2 is the way your website communicates to Google which consent a visitor has given. Google requires this from advertisers in Europe. Without Consent Mode v2, your audience lists for remarketing will no longer populate.
Does this also work with Shopify or WooCommerce?
Yes. For a Shopify webshop, we have transferred purchases from the checkout to Google Analytics 4 and linked the Shopify cookie banner to Consent Mode. For WordPress and WooCommerce, we work directly with Google Tag Manager.
Whose accounts are these?
From you. We will set up Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Search Console in your name, or you can grant us access to your existing accounts. You are and remain the administrator. If the collaboration ends, you take everything with you.
Can you review an existing Google Tag Manager?
Yes. We check whether the tags trigger at the right time, whether visitor consent is respected, and whether the figures in Google Analytics match what is happening on the website. You will receive a list of what is correct and what needs to be adjusted.
Do you also do server-side tagging?
We do not currently offer that as standard. For most websites, a solid foundation yields the best results: Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, and a cookie banner with Consent Mode v2. If you have a large advertising budget and want to go further, we will discuss what suits you best.
